What it is
A non-invasive treatment that applies low-frequency ultrasound to a targeted area of the body as part of a contouring programme. It is used on specific areas such as the abdomen, flanks or thighs.
How it works
A handpiece is moved over the treatment area, applying ultrasound energy to the tissue beneath. Sessions are done as a course, usually with radio frequency or lipo laser alongside, and drinking water and staying active between sessions is part of the protocol.
Good fit for
- Specific areas you would like to see change in shape
- Anyone able to commit to a full course rather than one session
- People maintaining their own eating and activity habits alongside treatment
Suitability is assessed individually at consultation. Some treatments are not appropriate for everyone.
Your treatment journey
- Consultation, measurements and photographs so progress can be tracked honestly.
- A course planned across a number of weeks, usually with complementary treatments.
- Individual sessions of 20 to 40 minutes per area.
- Review against your starting measurements at the end of the course.
Results and what to expect
Any change appears gradually across a course rather than after a single session, and measurements are the honest way to track it. These treatments are intended to support body contouring goals alongside your own eating and activity habits. They are not a weight-loss method and they do not replace one. Results vary considerably between individuals.
Safety and common effects
Most people notice some of the following. They are temporary and expected rather than a problem:
- A humming sound heard internally during treatment
- Warmth and mild redness of the area
- Increased thirst afterwards
Before you book. Suitability is assessed individually at consultation. Some treatments are not appropriate for everyone. Tell your practitioner about any medication, skin condition, allergy or recent treatment at consultation rather than on the day.

Aftercare
Drink plenty of water on the day and afterwards, stay active, and avoid alcohol on treatment days. Your practitioner will explain the full protocol.

Common questions
Will this make me lose weight?
No. It is a body contouring treatment aimed at the shape of specific areas, not a weight-loss method, and it does not replace eating and activity habits.
How many sessions do I need?
Courses of ten are typical and are priced as a package. Your practitioner will plan the course at consultation.
Does it hurt?
It is not painful. Most people hear a humming sound during the session, which is normal.
Do I need to do anything between sessions?
Yes — water intake and staying active are part of the protocol and affect what you get out of the course.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
It is commonly combined with radio frequency and lipo laser, and there is a combined ten-session package.
Is it suitable for everyone?
No. Suitability is assessed at consultation, and there are health conditions and circumstances where it is not appropriate.
